About the event

On Thursday, October 29, 2026, the Vlerick Alumni Finance & Investments Club will organize the Chief Economist Debate with great enthusiasm. This event brings together leading economists from UBS, ABN AMRO and the National Bank of Belgium for an exclusive debate on the global macroeconomic outlook, financial markets and key geopolitical trends shaping the investment landscape.


The aim of this debate is to have an in-depth discussion on current economic issues and to gain insight into the different perspectives of the chief economists of the major banks.


Hosted at the historic Handelsbeurs in Ghent, the event is expected to welcome more than 300 guests, including Vlerick alumni, business leaders, investors and corporate professionals.
